Branding is an essential component of marketing for any business or organization.The importance of branding in your marketing strategy can’t be overstated. A successful brand creates market differentiation and positions your organization for success.


In this session, SCORE business advisor Frank LaMonica will discuss resources you can tap into for business planning, marketing and more. Branding consultant Lyn Chamberlin will take a close look at what branding means for your organization and why it is an essential component for generating members, audiences, and funding. She’ll talk about how you can begin to think about a brand strategy that will increase your visibility as an individual and a business. She will offer real-world case studies and identify some of the tools you’ll need to position your organization in new and essential ways.


Frank LaMonaca serves as Chapter Chair for SCORE of Southeastern CT, bringing a wealth of experience in Finance, Insurance and general business management expertise.


Lyn Chamberlin is a consultant who specializes in individual and small business branding communications. She works with her clients to develop the brand communications strategies they need to significantly expand their visibility and impact. Before launching her consulting practice, Lyn held senior leadership positions throughout her career, acting as chief spokesperson, overseeing all branding, advertising, public relations, and public affairs initiatives. She was the founder and chief operating officer of skyePR, a brand consultancy in Boston, advising companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Polaroid, IDG, Navigant Consulting, and Technology Review Magazine, as well as numerous emerging technology start-ups and small businesses.
